What a Source Is
A patch source is a bundle of patches published by a patch team. The patcher itself does the rebuilding, but the source supplies the actual changes: ad blocking for video, background playback for music, interface cleanup for feeds, and dozens of smaller tweaks. Without a source, the patcher has nothing to apply, and the patch list stays empty. This page is part of the Morphe patcher app patching collection.
Sources are added by link inside the patcher. Paste the source link, let it load, and the patches it carries appear under each target app it supports. A source that supports video will not add patches for music, so the patch list you see depends on the sources you added.
Managing Sources
Keep sources few and trusted. One well maintained source beats five stale ones, because stale sources carry patches for old target app versions and produce skipped patch runs. Check a source for recent updates before adding it, and remove sources you no longer use so their patches stop cluttering the list.
Each source can be toggled for pre-releases. Pre-releases bring early patches for newer target app versions, but they also bring early bugs. Keep pre-releases off unless a patch you need only exists in a pre-release, and switch them off again after the patch you needed lands in a stable release.
For the next step, see Morphe Custom App Icon and Name in the guides, which continues this setup from where this page leaves off.
Source Problems
If a patch list is empty, the source did not load. Check the connection, re-add the source, and wait for the loading indicator to finish before picking a target app. If a source loads but a target app shows no patches, that source does not support that target, and another source is needed for it.
If patches disappear after an update, the source changed its patch set or dropped support for an old target version. Read the source changelog, match the target app file to the new supported versions, and patch again.

Conclusion
Sources supply the patches, the patcher applies them. Add few trusted sources, let each one load fully, and treat an empty patch list as a source problem before treating it as a patcher problem.
