Why Patch on PC
Patching on a computer suits people who keep app files on a PC, who prefer a keyboard for long patch lists, or who patch several apps in one sitting. A big screen makes Expert mode lists readable, drag and drop makes file selection trivial, and a computer has the RAM and storage headroom that a low memory phone lacks. This page is part of the Morphe for Android patching collection.
The desktop patcher is the same project with a different workbench. It publishes the patcher and the patch bundle as separate pieces, and it takes the target app file the same way the phone patcher does, so the patch choices and the results match.
Desktop Patch Loop
Get the patcher and the patch bundle for the computer, prepare the target app file in its plain single file form rather than a split bundle, and drag the file into the patcher window. Pick patches, run the patch, and take the finished file to the phone for installation.
Install on the phone through the standard installer, allowing installation from the app opening the file, and sign in through MicroG RE if the patched app needs it. The phone side of the loop is identical to phone patching, because only the rebuilding moved to the computer.
For the next step, see Morphe Simple Mode vs Expert Mode in the guides, which continues this setup from where this page leaves off.
Desktop Tips
Use the plain single file form of the target app for desktop patching, because a split bundle needs merging first and the desktop loop is simplest with one file. Keep the patcher and the bundle updated together, since a new patcher with an old bundle, or the reverse, produces skipped patches that look like patcher failures.
Keep one keystore across phone and desktop patching. A patched copy built on the computer must install over a patched copy built on the phone, and only a shared keystore makes that possible. Back the keystore up off both devices, and label it clearly.

Conclusion
Desktop patching moves rebuilding to the computer and leaves installation on the phone. One plain target file, one shared keystore, and the same patch choices produce the same patched copy as phone patching, with a bigger screen to work on.
